First filming workshop
In our first proper filming lesson we were taught how to film close ups, mid shots and wide shots. We had to keep in mind that all of our shots had to match up so it would look smooth when editing. The hardware we used was a camera which, at the end of the workshop, put onto a memory stick so we could use the software, premiere pro to edit it in the editing suite.

Filming
We chose a simple concept to film which was getting Izzy to bend down and tie up her shoe. I filmed the close ups and wide shots and then Mia filmed the mid shots. We made Izzy do the same action three times whilst we changed the position and the depth of the camera and lens. This meant that when we were editing we could make all the shots seem smooth.
Editing
We used the software Premiere Pro to edit all of our shots in the workshops. We were first taught how to put all of our shots into a folder called the rushes and then we put the shots that we wanted to use in a folder called the log bin. We then brought the shots onto the timeline where we edited their order and length. Once we had edited all of the shots so that they clearly and smoothly went together, we uploaded online to YouTube.
